Free MLK Lesson For Youth Workers

As the holiday weekend approaches honoring the life of DR. Martin Luther King Jr, many are looking for a faithful response in an unsettled world. To help your church use this holiday as an opportunity to engage students in a historical and theological context, Passport Media is offering a FREE resource to churches and student ministers.

In our free 60-minute lesson Dream. Believe. Do., your students will unpack the concept of “doing justice and loving kindness” (Micah 6:8) by connecting Dr. King’s speeches with the biblical passages that informed them. This lesson concludes with time for youth to reflect and identify specific ways they can take faith-based actions to respond to the issues around them today. The free lesson can be downloaded here and is a perfect resource for youth workers looking for a tie-in to MLK weekend, Black History month, a conversation connector to the new movie Selma, or any time a relevant single-lesson is needed.
