As a PASSPORT staffer, you’ll learn how to teach Bible study, lead on stage, respond to crisis, and engage God’s children in new ways. Whether you are looking to deepen your walk with the Lord, prepare yourself for ministry or just have the summer of a lifetime, PASSPORT camps will leave you forever changed.

 Each PASSPORT staffer is required to attend a (paid) 10-day intensive training session.

Bible Study Leader

Bible Study Leaders are the core of the team. They spend the mornings pouring the truths of the Bible into eager hearts and minds of teenagers or children. Bible studies are written and taught in a 10-day training session by ministry professionals. No prior teaching experience is required, just a willing spirit and a desire to help students know how to look for their own answers in the Bible. Bible Study Leaders also lead topical seminars, mission projects, or recreation based on team assignment. They have leadership roles in worship and participate in celebrations onstage daily.

PASSPORTkids Bible Study Leaders will lead a Bible study each day to a group of 3rd – 6th graders.

PASSPORTmissions Bible Study Leaders will lead a Bible study each day to a group of 6th -12th graders as well as lead them in serving on a mission project.

PASSPORTchoices Bible Study Leaders will lead a Bible study each day to a group off 6th -12th graders. During lunch students switch from their Bible study groups to their choice groups. Bible Study Leaders become Choice Leaders at this point and lead a new group through a choice experience.

Worship Coordinator

 

Leading worship for hundreds of students over multiple weeks is not for the faint of heart. PASSPORT Worship Coordinators are not concerned with a spotlight; they are energized by creating and coordinating a sacred space in which students can sing, pray and listen for the whisper of the Holy Spirit in their lives. PASSPORT is not looking for a named personality; we are looking for a musically gifted leader whose call is to facilitate worship.

Pastor

Communicating the thoughtful Gospel of Jesus’ love in engaging ways to teenagers and children takes a lot of prayer and preparation. PASSPORT is not looking for a named personality; we are looking for spiritually-grounded storytellers to breathe life into the gospel message and who live a life that reflects it. Our Pastors also lead by example off “the stage” by helping to administrate other areas of camp life, like serving lunch, sixth sense or overseeing morning celebration.

Mission Project Coordinator

Coordinating the details for multiple groups at different locations requires organizational skills and a mind that enjoys thinking through the details. Details matter, but the job is also about communicating the context of the community need so that students understand why what they are doing as Christians can and does make a difference.

PASSPORTmissions: Mission Project Coordinators (“MPC’s”) communicate with local ministries and agencies to confirm work and ensure that Bible Study Leaders and campers have all the supplies needed to do the job at hand.

MissionBASEThe Mission Project Coordinator on the MissionBASE team communicates with local ministries and agencies to ensure students have all they need to do the job at hand.

Choices Coordinator

The Choices Coordinator is responsible for organizing and administrating Choice time programming, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.

PASSPORTkids:  Choices Coordinators oversee daily Camper’s Choice Activities. These include sports, video crew, crafts, cooking, worship art, and outdoor activities.

PASSPORTchoices: Choices Coordinators oversee afternoon on-site choices where campers participate in interactive learning activities like organic gardening, worship leadership, cross cultural conversations and recreation – all in the context of our lives as Christ followers.

Recreation Coordinator

The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for bringing the fun! These talented individuals oversee, Free Time Activities, Camp Store (youth), and the nightly Parties. One of the main goals of the PASSPORT program is fun, and these team leaders will guarantee it is accomplished.

Assistant Director

The Assistant Director is responsible for the daily management of the office and the logistics of daily life. Communicating with host campuses, supervising the Bible Study Leaders (Missions, Choices & kids), assigning Crews (MissionBase) and overseeing the Camp Store (kids) are just some of the responsibilities for this position.

Community Life Coordinator

Ensuring the welfare of the community is a big job!  The Community Life Coordinator will over see evening programming including vespers, evening activities and small group activities.

Summer Staff Intern

Summer staff interns work behind-the-scenes alongside the program staff, learning the ropes and taking responsibilities for specific aspects of programming. Depending on the program Summer Staff Interns are serving, these leaders help facilitate camp lunch, mission project supplies, morning recreation, the camp store and party set up. Home churches recommend and participate in the investment of these young leaders.
