PASSPORTkids! Camp

I’m from Mayodan, NC and currently live in Greensboro where I am finishing my Masters of Public Affairs & Nonprofit Management at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. I attended PASSPORT youth camp for five summers as a camper and developed an interest in working on a summer team my senior year of high school. This coming summer will be my sixth summer serving on a camp team, and yet I still have eagerness and excitement for the journey of newness that lies ahead. Besides the fact that camp is (really) fun, Passport has been incredibly important in my faith journey. I love the atmosphere that camp creates for both children and adults. It becomes a place to fellowship and learn together in community.

PASSPORTchoices Camp

I am currently a senior Business and Administration major at Furman University in Greenville, SC, but was born and raised in Athens, GA. (Go dawgs!) In 2014, I served as a Bible Study Leader on the kids! team, and last year I served as Recreation Coordinator on the PASSPORTmissions team! Growing up, I loved PASSPORT and attended as a camper for seven summers. Being a camper and learning from staffers made me want to grow up and be a staffer and serve with Passport. I have been blessed to experience the impact of a true Christ-like community through Passport as a camper, chaperone, and staffer.

PASSPORTmissions Camp

I graduated from Mercer University in 2014. I am currently in my second year of teaching 4th grade in my hometown of Gainesville, GA. I was a PASSPORT camper for five years, and this will be my fifth summer on staff. Having been involved with Passport in some capacity for ten years, I can truthfully say that I wholeheartedly believe in Passport’s mission. I love the community that is built at camp, and I am who I am today in large part due to Passport’s impact on my life. I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with group leaders and chaperones who have been to camp previously and meeting new people who come this year!

MissionBASE Atlanta

Originally from Monrovia, Liberia, I currently live in Atlanta Georgia where I’m a third year student at McAfee School of Theology, Mercer University. I am presently serving as Ministry Intern at Park Avenue Baptist Church here in Atlanta. I have had the pleasure of working six summers with Passport; if you count the two PASSPORTLiberia camps then that makes it eight! Wow! That’s a lot of camp! What I love most about Passport is the opportunity you have to explore your ministry strengths and weaknesses, while at the same time helping others develop and figure out theirs. This summer, I am looking forward to experiencing a part of Passport I haven’t experienced before, MissionBASE!
