Founded to be a “place set apart for those who journey here seeking a closer relationship with their Creator,” Montreat Conference Center was created by the Presbyterian Church USA more than 100 years ago. Nestled at the foot of Greybeard Mountain and enveloped by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Montreat is a gorgeous backdrop for PASSPORTkids camp.

Montreat’s facilities offer paddle-boating and canoeing on Lake Susan as well an outdoor swimming pool and expansive hiking trails for adventurers! PASSPORTkids churches will be housed in the Assembly Inn and Guest Lodges. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet-style in Montreat’s Galax Dining Room.

Assembly Inn offers a central location, air-conditioning, and hotel-style accommodations with twin beds, queen beds, and king beds. Most Assembly Inn rooms have private baths, but a few share with the neighboring room. Some bedrooms accommodate air mattresses provided by Montreat, and campers may share a bed with campers from their church group. Montreat’s Lodges offer a more rustic experience. Groups in lodges may share the lodge with other groups. Lodges have various layouts but generally have hall or floor baths with multiple rooms per hall and multiple beds per room. Please note that some lodges are not air-conditioned, but evenings are typically cool. Bed linens, pillows, and bath towels are provided by Montreat, but bring beach towels for swimming.
