Camp Scholarships

At Passport, we believe that every student should have the opportunity to attend camp regardless of their financial abilities. The goal of the Camp Scholarship Program is to partner with churches to assist the students in their congregation who have financial needs, to make camp a reality for them. This partnership invites churches to consider investing in their students by also being willing to cover some of the costs for their campers. In the Summer of 2023, 173 students were able to attend camp through the use of our scholarship funds.

The application window is open from October 1st to March 31st. Applications will be reviewed at the end of each month and applicants will be notified at the beginning of the following month. Any applications received after the deadline will be considered with any funds remaining.

The information below will guide you in the application process. If you have additional questions, please email scholarships@passportcamps.org.

Application Process

We prefer that groups be registered for camp before applying for scholarships. To register your group, click the “register” button in the top right corner. To apply for a Camp Scholarship, click the “Online Scholarship Application” button below and complete the application by filling in all required information. Please indicate both the amount you are requesting from our Scholarship Fund and the amount that your church or group will provide, if possible. Briefly explain the students’ need for financial assistance. If you are requesting assistance for more than one camp program (for example PASSPORTmissions and PASSPORTkids), please submit separate applications.

How much funding can I apply for?

Passport, Inc. would like our scholarship fund to go as far as possible each summer so that we are able to assist all applicants on some level. To that end, we encourage our groups to provide whatever portion of camp fees that they are able to through church budgets or fundraising. In certain situations, full funding will be considered.

What is the selection process?

Scholarships applications are reviewed on a monthly basis by our National Office Scholarship Committee in conjunction with the Scholarship Review Committee, made up of members of Passport’s Board of Directors. Awards are granted based on the need and funds available.

Applying as a CBF Field Personnel

Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Field Personnel are invited to fill out a scholarship application for a church under their purview. The purpose of the CBF Field Personnel Annual Scholarship Grant is to enhance the ministry of CBF’s U.S. based Missionaries by allowing them access to funds that will bring children and youth to a week of camp. Funding for these scholarships is provided on an annual basis by CBF Global Missions Office. Churches may receive some funding from the CBF grant and additional funding from Passport’s Scholarship Fund at Passport’s discretion. The scholarship program can cover students and adult chaperones as needed.

Applying as a CBF VA church

The CBF of Virginia has made scholarship funds available for CBF churches in Virginia. Check the box on the application to be considered for these funds!
