It’s hard to believe that is has been one month since we said goodbye to Passport 2016.  In many ways, the summer feels like it hasn’t left. Its arms continue to stretch across the sky grasping to hold more of our waking hours. Its heat reminding us of more leisurely days spent outside with friends.

But the trucks are long gone. Beach balls, Bibles, and mission supplies are all organized alphabetically onto warehouse shelves.  Summer staffers are settling into their next season, and campers are finding themselves in new seats in new classrooms with new teachers awaiting new experiences. Group leaders are busy planning their lesson plan. Camp passports are hanging in the back of closets, neatly folded in keepsake boxes, or crumpled at the bottom of a backpack, waiting for the chance to remind their owner about what we learned and did together this summer.

What we did together this summer seems too big to be contained in words or numbers. Fresh experiences with Christ, hours spent humbly serving each other, and moments of immeasurable grace – these are hard to pin down, count, or sum up. However, each summer when we sit down to account for the impact the PASSPORT community has made, we are wowed and humbled by God’s goodness.

Whether you spent one week or one day with us this summer, you are equally a part of the Passport family. Whether you joined us at kids camp or read to children with us at MissionBASE, you are a part of the story God is telling through Passport’s ministry. And while numbers can’t convey the lives changed and the hearts moved, we want to share the impact the Passport community made.
