Price: $4,100
Dates: July 21-31, 2016
In partnership with Watering Malawi, students from the U.S. will travel as Passport representatives gathering with Malawian students for a festival of empowerment, education, and cross-cultural community. As young Christians we will listen and learn from our hosts and participate in celebrating the abundance of life found as followers of Jesus Christ. This experience is a hybrid mission immersion into another culture – to share life and time with students on the other side of the globe.
Location:
Centrally located in the Southern region of the continent of Africa, Malawi is known for her gentle and kind people and beautiful landscape. It’s nicknamed “the Warm Heart of Africa.”

Cross Cultural Event
Tour a water point site sponsored by Watering Malawi, worship with a village church, and interact with Malawian teenagers at a student festival designed to celebrate education, especially for young girls!
We’ll have conversations with those working to free girls trapped by underage marriage in Malawi and visit with school children who are caring for themselves and their siblings in the absence of their parents. We’ll visit a school founded by a former president of Malawi, created especially for children at risk, and experience the wonder of God’s creation watching hippos swim in the Shiri River. Come celebrate the abundant love of Jesus Christ with us and get to know a beautiful branch of God’s family in Malawi. Your world will never be the same.
This trip is produced in coordination with local ministry partners TAYO (Thyolo Active Youth Organisation), GENET (Girls Empowerment Network of Malawi), and the Joyce Banda Foundation.
